What BOPP Is and Why It Works

BOPP film is the workhorse of product label printing. Its biaxial orientation gives it excellent dimensional stability — it doesn't shrink or warp under normal conditions. Combined with its natural water and oil resistance, this makes BOPP the standard choice for:

Bottles and jars, food packaging, beverage containers, cosmetics, household chemicals, and anywhere a label needs to survive handling without fading, peeling, or degrading. BOPP comes in white, clear, silver/chrome, and metallic finishes — giving you options for the look and feel of your branding.

Common BOPP Applications

Food & Beverage Labels

Bottle labels, jar labels, packaging seals — surviving refrigeration, condensation, and grocery-store handling without degrading.

Cosmetics & Beauty

Bottle labels for shampoo, lotion, and skincare. Resistant to oils and chemical residues from the products themselves.

Household Products

Cleaning product labels, detergent bottles, kitchen products — durable enough to survive household use environments.

Brand & Promotional Labels

Branded packaging seals, tamper-evident labels, custom shape labels for product differentiation on retail shelves.

BOPP Label FAQs

What is BOPP and what is it used for?

BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) is a flexible plastic film used for product labels, packaging, and wrap applications. It's water-resistant, oil-resistant, and durable — making it the standard for food, beverage, cosmetics, and household product labels where the label needs to survive moisture, refrigeration, and handling.

What's the difference between BOPP and vinyl stickers?

BOPP is thinner and more flexible — better suited for wrapping around bottles, jars, and curved product surfaces. Vinyl is thicker and tougher — better for outdoor signage and high-abrasion environments. BOPP is the standard for product labels; vinyl is the standard for outdoor signage. We offer both — see our main sticker page for vinyl options.

What finishes are available?

White (most common for product labels), clear (for "no-label look" on bottles), silver/chrome (premium product packaging), and metallic finishes. Optional gloss or matte lamination on top for added scratch resistance and finish character.

Do you support Pantone color matching for brand labels?

Yes. Provide Pantone codes during your quote and we'll match as closely as our digital printing process allows. For corporate clients with strict brand color requirements, we can produce an approval sample before bulk production for additional cost.

What's the minimum order?

Quote-based — minimums vary by label size, shape complexity, and finish. Custom batch orders accepted; larger volume orders qualify for better per-piece pricing. Tell us your quantity during the quote.

How long does production take?

5-10 working days for typical BOPP label orders, depending on quantity and finishing. Bulk orders may take longer. Add 5-7 business days for international shipping. Rush options may be available — ask during your quote.

Can you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship BOPP labels to the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and most of Europe. Shipping costs are calculated by destination, weight, and speed. All shipping options included in your quote.
