PVC patches are made of durable, flexible rubber material, offering 3D layering, crisp lines, and complete waterproofing. Embroidered patches are made of thread on fabric, offering texture and a traditional appearance. PVC is preferred for outdoor, tactical, and high-wear applications; embroidered is preferred for textile-style branding and traditional uniforms. We make both — choose based on your application.
Yes. We offer both 2D layering (elements stacked flat on top of each other with clean separation between colors) and full 3D contouring (rounded sculpted surfaces, like a coin or sculpted relief). The choice depends on your design and intended visual effect. 3D adds complexity to the mold but produces a premium tactile result.
The most common backings for PVC patches are hook-side Velcro (for attachment to military, tactical, and uniform gear with soft loop fields) and sew-on (a groove around the patch border for stitched attachment). Adhesive and iron-on backings are not standard on PVC due to the material's smooth, non-porous surface — they don't bond well long-term.
Due to the molding process, the minimum line thickness we can reliably reproduce is approximately 1mm. Very small text or intricate details may need simplification to ensure a high-quality, durable final product. We'll review your artwork during the quote and recommend any adjustments before mold creation — this saves you from costly revisions later.
50 patches per design minimum. Smaller sample quantities may be available for established customers — ask during your quote. For larger orders (500+, 1000+), volume pricing applies. PVC requires a one-time mold investment, so first-time runs benefit most when the quantity justifies the mold setup.
Standard production: 8-12 working days from order approval. Rush production: 5-7 working days available depending on quantity and complexity (additional cost). Add 5-7 business days for international shipping. Mold creation adds 3-5 days for first-time orders; reorders use existing molds and skip this step.
Vector preferred: AI, EPS, SVG, vector PDF. We also accept high-resolution PNG, JPG, and PSD files at 300 DPI minimum. If your artwork needs to be prepared for PVC production (vector conversion, color separation, mold-ready cleanup), our vector art service can handle that first for a small additional fee.
