About Stitch Official
Stitch Official has been digitizing embroidery files, converting vector art, and manufacturing custom patches since 2012. Today, we're a 20-person production team serving apparel brands, embroidery shops, and uniform companies across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
We don't outsource. Every digitized file, every vector conversion, and every patch order is handled in-house by our team in Karachi, Pakistan, with night-shift coverage so US clients get fast turnaround during their business day.
Founded by Richard Lucas in 2012
Stitch Official was founded in 2012 by Richard Lucas with a focus on solving one specific problem: most digitizing services deliver files that look fine on screen but stitch poorly on actual machines. Our entire process is built around fixing that. Every design we deliver is test-sewn on an actual embroidery machine before we send it to you.
What We Do
Embroidery Digitizing
We convert your logos, monograms, and designs into machine-readable embroidery files. Files are delivered in DST, PES, EMB, EXP, JEF, HUS, VP3, and XXX formats — compatible with Tajima, Brother, Janome, Bernina, Melco, Barudan, and Happy machines.
We specialize in:
- Flat embroidery — the standard technique used for most logos and lettering
- 3D puff embroidery — uses foam padding to create raised, dimensional designs (ideal for caps and hats)
- Chenille embroidery — the textured, varsity-jacket look popular for letterman patches
- Applique embroidery — fabric patches stitched onto garments for unique textured designs
- Towel embroidery — specialized digitizing for terry cloth and high-pile fabrics

Vector Art & Illustration
We manually redraw raster images into clean, scalable vector files for screen printing, signage, and reproduction. We don't use auto-trace software — every file is hand-traced for production quality. Output formats include AI, EPS, SVG, PDF, and CDR.
Custom Patches
We manufacture finished patches in multiple materials: embroidered, PVC, woven, leather, bullion crest, and chenille. All patch backings available — Velcro hook-and-loop, iron-on, sew-on, and adhesive. Standard production: 8-12 working days. Rush production: 5-7 working days.

Our Team
Stitch Official is a team of 20+ specialists organized into three groups: sales executives who handle quotes and client communication, senior digitizers and designers who produce the actual files, and a production team that manages our in-house embroidery machines for test sewouts.
We run multiple embroidery machines on-site so every file we deliver has been physically tested before it reaches your inbox. Most digitizing services skip this step. We don't.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Stitch Official based?
Our production team is based in Karachi, Pakistan. We serve clients primarily in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. Our 24/7 production schedule means US-based clients typically receive their files during their business day.
How long has Stitch Official been operating?
Since 2012 — over 14 years of digitizing experience. We started with embroidery digitizing and expanded into vector art and custom patch manufacturing as our client base grew.
Do you actually test designs on real machines?
Yes. We operate multiple embroidery machines in-house specifically for test sewouts. Every design is physically test-sewn before file delivery. This is one of the main differentiators between us and digitizing services that just deliver files based on software preview alone.
What file formats do you support?
For embroidery: DST, PES, EMB, EXP, JEF, HUS, VP3, XXX (compatible with all major embroidery machines). For vector: AI, EPS, SVG, PDF, CDR. If you need a format we haven't listed, ask — we likely support it.
How fast is your turnaround?
Standard digitizing: 3-5 hours. Large or complex designs: 4-6 hours. Vector art: 4-5 hours. Custom patches (manufactured products): 8-12 working days standard, 5-7 working days rush. We don't charge rush fees on standard turnaround.
Do you offer monthly subscription plans?
Yes. For high-volume customers, we offer monthly plans starting at $200/month for 30 designs (Silver tier), up to $550/month for 100 designs (Platinum tier). Subscription customers save up to 45% per design vs standard per-order pricing. View pricing →
