The direct answer
Yes. Custom patches have a 5-piece minimum order. This applies across all six patch types we produce — embroidered, PVC, woven, leather, bullion crest, and chenille.
Why patch MOQs exist
Patch production involves setup work — programming the embroidery or molding process, sourcing materials, and running quality checks — that has to happen regardless of whether you order 5 patches or 500. Spreading that setup cost across too few units makes small orders impractical to produce at a reasonable price, which is why almost every patch manufacturer sets a minimum, not just us.
How our MOQ compares
A 5-piece minimum is very low for custom patch production — many manufacturers set their floor at 50 or 100 pieces. If you've been quoted a higher minimum elsewhere, it's worth checking whether that shop can go smaller before assuming a low-volume custom patch order isn't possible.
What if you need fewer than 5?
If your project genuinely can't reach 5 pieces, talk to our team directly — depending on the patch type and design, there may be options worth discussing. For very small runs or one-off designs, DTF transfers are also worth considering as an alternative to a stitched or molded patch.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the minimum order for custom patches?
5 pieces, across all patch types.
Why do patch manufacturers require a minimum order?
Because setup and production costs are largely fixed regardless of order size, making very small runs impractical to produce affordably.
Is there any way to order fewer than 5 patches?
Contact our team to discuss your specific project — depending on patch type, there may be options, or an alternative product like DTF transfers may fit better for very small runs.
