Temporary
Pressure-sensitive backing for promotional events and retail displays. Not designed for laundering.
Velcro and adhesive cost slightly more than standard sew-on due to materials. All four options work with merrowed or hot-cut borders.
Border options
Traditional thick thread-wrapped edge — the most recognizable embroidered patch border. Best for circles, ovals and simple shapes. Strongest edge, resists fraying. Standard for military, biker, scout and club patches. Approximately 1/8″ thick.
Clean fabric-edge finish, cut to your design's exact contour with no separate thread border. Works on any shape — required for intricate contoured designs. Modern, sleek, slimmer edge with heat-sealed fraying prevention.

Merrowed (overlocked) — a thick thread-wrapped edge, the classic patch look, best for circles and simple shapes. Hot-cut/laser-cut — a clean fabric-edge finish that works on any shape, required for intricate contoured designs.
