Towel & Terry Cloth Digitizing

Towels and terry cloth have a soft, looped pile that stitches sink into — a standard file looks washed-out and muddy on plush fabric. Towel digitizing adjusts underlay density, pull compensation and stitch density specifically to counter that.

A thin film placed on top of the towel during stitching, held by the embroidery frame. It holds the pile down and forces the thread to sit on top of the fabric instead of sinking in, then tears away and dissolves completely in the first wash. Our digitizing assumes water-soluble topping use.

Bold, simple shapes — monograms, block letters, large logos. Avoid fine text or intricate patterns; minimum stroke width is 2mm, and solid colors work far better than gradients.

$10 per design under 5 inches, $18 over 5 inches — the same flat-rate pricing as standard embroidery digitizing, with no premium for the towel-specific technique.

3–5 hour turnaround, the same as our standard digitizing.

Hotel and spa linens, gym and athletic towels, beach towels, bath robes, and golf towels all work well. Microfiber towels have a smaller pile and are simpler to digitize, but still benefit from the same underlay optimization.
