The technique
A file digitized for flat embroidery, run with foam underneath, comes out messy — gaps, foam showing through, ragged edges. Puff needs its own digitizing math from the first stitch.

Sharp inner corners cut the foam unevenly — rounded shapes hold up in production.
Block letters at this size or larger stay legible once the foam raises them.
Gradients and fine shading don't translate — anything under 3mm becomes flat embroidery instead.

Puff is at its best on stable, structured fabric. The firm front panel of a baseball cap is the ideal canvas for a raised 3D logo.
